Chemical Peel Solutions

TRUST YOUR SKIN TO THE EXPERTS…

The facial treatments and chemical peels at our Atlanta location are the perfect fit to clear up skin imperfections, leaving your skin looking fresh, smooth, and beautiful.

Over the course of a person’s life, a variety of environmental and genetic factors impact the health and wellbeing of the skin. Factors like sun and general skin aging can create embarrassing problems such as pigmentation problems, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, and acne. All of these issues can be resolved with the help of chemical peels.

What is a Peel Treatment Like?

A chemical peel treatment session is typically quick and very simple. First, the skin of the face is cleansed of any makeup. Next, the peel’s chemicals are applied to the skin. They are left on to permeate through the skin layers to the appropriate level, which varies depending on the strength of the peel. Finally, the chemicals are removed from the skin.

FAQ

Q. What is the peel aftercare?

A. The exact details of chemical peel recovery and aftercare vary depending on peel strength. Generally, once the peel treatment is complete, the patient can return home. The skin layers will gradually slough away, revealing fresh new skin layers without imperfections.

The new skin layers will be very prone to sun damage for a time. Because of this, it is important that you wear proper sunscreen and avoid sun exposure. You will also need to keep your skin moisturized.

Q. Am I a good candidate for a chemical peel?

A. The best candidates for chemical peel treatments are patients looking for non-surgical non-invasive revitalization options. If you have skin imperfections like acne, rough skin, or hyperpigmentation, this treatment may be perfect for you.

Patients who have taken Accutane within the last six months are not ideal candidates for chemical peels, nor are patients who are experiencing skin conditions or patients who are currently pregnant or nursing.

Patients with sensitive skin are not typically ideal candidates for this treatment option, especially medium and deep peels. If you have a darker skin tone, you may not be a good candidate; this should be discussed during your peel consultation.

Q. What is the chemical peel cost?

A. For patients having trouble with the price of their chemical peel treatment, our office offers financing for procedures through United Medical Credit. Discuss your options during a consultation.
